Texas Hold-Em is a disappointment.

Wow, I am glad I did not pay for this game. To many glitches for me to believe it even got close to quality control.
  1. Players can disconnect and the game thinks they were the winner of the tournament. Makes the leaderboard a joke. YIKES. With all the cheaters using the standby button the their modems, why would quality control make this the first thing they test?
  2. A Player gets a lead and just leaves their game on auto and walks away leaving the other player or players to either try play for the next few hours, or as in many cases, just quit, giving the AWAY player the win.
  3. Cards with the wrong number of spot – four of diamonds with 5 spots.
  4. No commas in the dollar total makes it hard to read the numbers.
  5. If everyone goes all in, one guy wins and everyone gets second place. In my mind, one guy wins and everyone ties for LAST.
  6. Blinds stop raising after $10,000/$20,000. Did the programmers even know how to play poker when they coded this? The games may never end.

Why can these games be tested in the real world before getting released? Plus, think of all the extra time they had with this game.

Suggestions:

  1. If a player disconnects they lose their buy-in and get nothing, even if the are one of the last 4 players.
  2. If a player auto folds 3 –5 times in a row, they are kicked from the game and lose their buy-in. I know this may hurt me too, but when the dogs have to go out (or I got to go), they got to go.
  3. Keep doubling the blinds every 10 – 15 hands.
  4. All ties get the lowest winnings – if three players are left and two get knocked out together they both get 3rd place winnings… if all go in and 7 lose, they tie for last. Or, they divide the winnings - if three players are left and two get knocked out together, they split 2nd and 3rd place winnings…if all go in and 7 lose, divide the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winnings by 7.
  5. Commas in the numbers.
  6. Fix the card faces

With these fixes, it looks like the game would need a complete re-download and ALL stats reset to clear the cheaters off the leaderboard.

BTW, I am not holding my breath that this will get fixed anytime soon, if at all.

Xbox Live Arcade.

Killer mini reviews.

Frogger - Killer not impressed. Killer not buy, Killer not a Frogger fan.

Cloning Clyde - Demo was okay, but still not worth the dough.

Street Fighter II HF - Killer will get Frogger before this mess. Controls okay, but not fun game play. Just button mashing. Demo only came with Arcade mode but Killer heard in the forums the Live is very glitchy.

Galaga - Killer like and Killer bought. Brainless fun. Just what Killer needs. Killer got all the achievements, but only because you can start at any level you previously completed. ScatmanII came over and he liked too. He bought and beat both Whacky and Killers score. Killer does not expect to ever beat either of them.

Prey - Killer and Mrs. Killer like this games. ScatmanII likes the demo.. says it scares him. Killer waiting for Whacky to get so we can explore the multiplayer stuff together. Killer may not wait much longer tho.
