Podcast?

I am listening to a Podcast from Major Nelson, Larry Hyrb. Suprising since iPods are from Microsoft's biggest competitor, Apple. Does Billy Bob knows about it?
What I like about Major Nelson is that he really wants to keep everyone informed about Xbox information.
On his podcast, he has some information: he took his gamer tag from I Dream of Jeannie, he'll keep a lot of stuff under wraps, been with MS for 5 yrs, etc.
I am looking forward to more podcasts with some more information about 360.

Get Back Jack - Gamers fight back

Boy... this almost makes me want to start watching daytime soap operas.

Anti-game activist Jack Thompson under investigation
".......the nerds swung into action. Penny Arcade forum members wrote, edited and sent letters and faxes to the Florida Bar Association detailing Thompson's activities and urging the review of his license to practice law. Jack Thompson has already received a reprimand by the FBA for his antics in 1998, and according to a spokesperson, the letters and faxes have been received and forwarded to the disciplinary committee.
Already, other activists against video game violence are starting to distance themselves from Jack Thompson. Earlier this month, the National Institute on Media and the Family wrote a letter to Jack, asking him to remove the link to their organization from his web site. While Mr. Thompson's fifteen minutes of fame may be waning, the issue of violence in video games remains a hot topic."

Jack Thompson - can he get any crazier??

More of Jack.... You gotta love this guy

First
"Thompson himself came under criticism this week for allegedly reneging on his promise to donate $10,000 to the designated charity of Take-Two CEO Paul Eibeler upon the completion of a game based on an extreme storyline submitted by Thompson. The challenge, made to the game industry at large, was apparently met by a group of Grand Theft Auto modders, according to online reports, but Thompson subsequently expanded on his earlier claims, explaining that his statement and charity promise were merely satire. The withdrawal of the charity funds led popular webcomic authors Jerry Holkins and Michael Krahulik of Penny Arcade, who have had several recent run-ins with Thompson, to put up $10,000 of their own money in Thompson's place. The two donated the money toward the charity Foundation of trade organization the Entertainment Software Association, which has been raising money recently with its "Nite to Unite For Kids" fundraisers to benefit children's charities."

Then he does this -
"The simmering controversy over anti-game crusader Jack Thompson's controverisal $10,000 donation offer took an ugly turn this morning. The Miami attorney has tried to enlist the efforts of the Seattle Police Department in a dust-up with gamer website Penny Arcade. In a letter faxed to Seattle Police Chief Gil Kerlikowske (left), Thompson says, in part, "A Seattle business by the name of Penny Arcade... employs certain personnel who have decided to commence and orchestrate criminal harassment of me by various means... This company has done this because I dared to go on CBS's 60 Minutes in March and again in July to explain a wrongful death lawsuit I have brought on behalf of two police officers and a police dispatcher in Fayette, Alabama, who were shot in the head and killed by Devin Moore who obsessively trained on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to kill them.""

Jack Thompson is blasted by pro-family group

"National Institute on Media and the Family distances itself from vociferous lawyer. "

Oh Jack.... what have you done this time.....

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=12259

"Or perhaps not. "Jack actually just called and screamed at me for a couple minutes," Krahulik said. "He said if I email him again I will 'regret it'. What a violent man.""

Good thing I did not include my phone number in my emails to Jack. What a nut!!

Better still.....
"Thompson breaks his word on $10k bounty, says he was just kidding"

Jack Thompson, A man of many words, but not a man of his own word! Then again, he is a lawyer.

Slackers

Yes, a re-post of slacking. I blame Killer Nikita for it. He's too busy dry walling his basement.
We really have not been on too much except for Friday nights doing some R6 Lockdown.
There are many mixed reviews about this game. Some call it R6 Halo, others garbage. I really do not like sharpshooter. There is only one way to describe to win: spawn-camp.

The co-op missions aren't too bad, the AI is a little better. The main problem I have are with the sudden appearance of baddies. They pop out of thin air. There are times where Killer and I separate and I get ahead of him. I pass a spot with no baddies, turn around and a guy pops up. Nice.

Speaking of co-op, whatever happened to SC:CT co-op maps?
