AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

One of the reasons I purchased an Xbox was because of the superiority in graphics, sound and, of course, Live.
Why did Sony have to do this to me?
The processors are also PPC based, but has 1 PPC with 7 cells instead of 3 with 2 cells.
The video is about the same, the exception being that it can go 1080p. Since there are no TV's that can do 1080p, does this really matter? And it's not a standard...
Gigabit ethernet connector.
All this speed, and they are essentially using a laptop HD as add on.
I like the fact you can put in CF, SD and Memory Stick. My guess is this will be a full entertainment system, just like XBox 360.
They did put a Blu-Ray disc in the specs, but it makes me think about this: Sony is in talks right now to come up with a standard for the next gen of DVD. There are 2 formats now, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. HD-DVD is Toshiba and Blu-Ray is Sony. Both have said there is no standard so is Sony muscling in and creating the standard? I would love to see HD-DVD become the standard and have Sony redeveloping PS-NG.
Because of the cost of technology for Blu-Ray, you can now start seeing PS-NG games pushing the $75-$100 mark.
So, both the XBox 360 and PS-NG are graphically intense, with the slight edge to Sony. We'll have to wait on cost, though. I think both will be pushing that envelop...
